Being friendly to others

Tim didn’t like going near people. He is always avoiding others because he thinks that no one would like him. Due to him being a bit chubby, he thinks that people might poke fun at him. Tim does not like being teased, even from his own family. He just doesn’t see how he would get along with anyone.

One day, Tim ran out to the woods at night to be alone. He could not stand his sister’s teasing for today. He was thinking about running away for good. Then, as soon as Tim got to a clearing, he saw something in the sky. It was a flying saucer and it was slowly going towards his way.

Tim hid by a tree so that whatever (or whoever) is in that ship will not see him. After he heard the ship land, he heard steam coming out of it. Then, he heard footsteps going around the place. Tim decided to risk it and took a peek at what had left the ship. To his surprise, it was an orange humanoid with no hair and red dots all over it.

Tim saw that this alien was looking down while walking around. He thought ‘That thing…it looks like it is scanning for something. What is this thing looking for?’ He was scared to shout because he knew that it might hear him. After much waiting, he began to inch closer to the alien to see what it is trying to find.

When he got close enough to it, the alien noticed that it is being watched. It panicked and looked around. It was making some kind of weird noise while doing so. When that happened, Tim was frozen in fear. When the alien saw him, it froze in fear as well.

When they were looking at each other, Tim got a good look at the alien. It was a boy and it looked like he was Tim’s age. This alien has sapphire blue eyes and a tan belly. His privates were covered up by some sort of weird material. The rest of the alien was naked (as if he was going for a swim somewhere).

After a while of staring at the alien, Tim noticed that he is as scared as he is.

He said “Um…hello. I do not mean you any harm. My name is Tim by the way. Can you tell me yours?”

The alien looked up and down at the boy as if it was scanning him for something.

The alien responded in a weird male’s voice. He said “My name is Pluton, nice to meet you Tim. I usually don’t make any friends, even of my own kind. I am usually shy of them. Do you have any experiences like that?”

Tim looked at Pluton strange and said “Yeah, I had the exact same feeling and my sister always teased me about it.”

Pluton said “Yeah, I would see why you don’t want to be with others. You are pretty tubby for a human. Then again, I have red spots all over me and who would want to hang out with a person like that.”

“What is wrong with that? I don’t see that as anything wrong.”

Pluton stared at Tim in disbelief. Never had someone told him that about himself.

He said “Thank you, but I do not think others of my kind would agree. You see, my kind judges you if you depending on what colored dots you have. I have the misfortune of having red ones as they usually bring bad luck.”

“They think they do? That sounds kind of wrong.”

“Yeah, I know right. Anyways, I should get on going then. I have a feeling that your parents will look for you sooner or later.”

“You’re right Pluton; I should get on going too. Your parents might be looking for you as well. At least you still have your parents to look after you.”

Pluton smiled and said “Yeah, they do still care about me. Not only that, but they also support me whenever the odds seemed to be against me.”

Tim said “It’s good to know that you know that at least. Well I hope to see you again later down the road.”

“Wait, won’t your parents get scared when they see me?”

“Well yeah, that is why I plan to meet up with you in private. Anyways, do you want us to meet here? If so, I’d be happy to talk to you any time.”

“You mean it, thank you Tim. You are the best friend that I could ever wish for. I shouldn’t say that because you know that we will be both busy. Anyways, when I want to talk to you keep an eye out in the sky at night. There you will see my ship coming to the ground.”

“Alright, I’ll keep an eye out. Until then, see you later.”

After that, he ran back to his house as fast as he could. While he was running back, he heard Pluton’s ship begin to take off. Tim look back to see it fly off into the sky and disappear into the sky of stars. He smiled knowing that he now has a friend.

When Tim got home everything was as it was before he left. He was relieved that his parents did not know where he has been off to. He went to bed right after he ate dinner. The next day, he found himself being social with the other kids. He made six other kids that day.

Tim was happy that he found Pluton when he did. He did not know what to do if he didn’t find his new alien friend. Now that he has some friends, he began to forget all of his troubles.

What's in there

There are buildings all over the world that look abandoned in some ways. It is fun to wander in them during the day. Although cool looking, you might want to be careful while you’re in there. Some buildings are kept off limits for one purpose or another. People claim that it’s because the buildings are getting old, but there is more to it than that.

A four teens decided to go on an adventure in an old school. This school had been abandoned since the 1940s and had reported of being haunted. The kids had token their cameras and sleeping bags as they planned to stay there for a week. Mike was the leader of the group and because of him he made his friends go there to tell ghost stories. He did not tell them that they were actually going to go ghost hunting.

Jacob is Mike’s closest friend and is interested in what he wants to do. Sometimes, he has trouble understanding Mike, but he gets over it and moves on. Venn is a Mexican friend of Mike’s and likes to go where they go. He has a strong Mexican accent and he loves to have a party. If there isn’t a big thing that Mike and Jacob are interested in, Venn will not go with them.

Lastly, there is Kendra. She is the one always being picked on by Mike. Little does Kendra know that he has a big thing for her. Although the one being picked on, she is good friends with Mike and his friends. Mike talked about the abandoned building and what is in there before they proceeded in it.

Mike drove in his van while he picked up his friends. After he had picked up his friends from their houses, he went to the abandoned school. When they got there, all of them were amazed. Jacob said “Dude, this school must be ancient. There must be tons of stuff left behind by former teachers and students.”

Kendra said “You guys aren’t going to steal stuff are you?” Jacob said “Why not, I only take them as a souvenir.” She said “But Jacob, that’s stealing from private property.” Mike laughed and said “Get the hell off of my property you young whimper snappers.” Venn joked “Whimper snappers, they whimper when they snap.”

Mike and Jacob laughed even harder when Venn told that joke. Kendra said “Come on guys this isn’t funny, we’re going to get in trouble.” Mike said “Don’t worry Kendra we won’t steal stuff from the school.” Jacob said “That is, not much of it.” He laughed crazily as he ran towards the doors of the school.

Mike said “Hey don’t go running off yet, we need to find an entrance that is not locked first.” Jacob ignored his command, grabbed the doors, and tried to pull them. He was making a fool out of himself by acting silly while he was pulling on the doors. Mike laughed a bit before going up to Jacob. When he got to him, he said “Are you alright man?”

Jacob let go of the door and made a cartoon-like sigh. Mike laughed “Come on Jacob, let’s find another way in.” He nodded and stood up in a normal way. Mike walked to the right and the rest of his friends followed him. They all saw that the glass in some parts of the building was smashed and plants were growing on the building.

When the group of teens almost got to one of the corners of the school, Jacob pointed to an object on the ground and said “Hey, is that a door?” Mike and the rest looked at the object to see what it is. He said “Yeah, I think so. The open entrance must be nearby.” They looked at the direction at where the door is pointing at to see that there was a doorway without a door.

Mike smiled as he ventured into the abandoned school. The other boys followed in after him while Kendra stood there. She said “I don’t think that this is a good idea guys. We might be in big trouble if we get caught. Let’s just get out of here and do something else.”

Mike turned around and smiled at Kendra. He said “Don’t worry, we won’t get caught. The police don’t even go by this place anymore.” Soon, there was a sudden crack of thunder that split the sky. Jacob said “Aw Mike, you know you should not do that.”

Mike turned around and joked “That is not me man. Probably it was Venn that did it. You know how he is with beans and nachos.” Then, a lightning bolt appeared and the thunder sounded again before it began pouring rain. Kendra was screaming as she was running towards the boys.

When Kendra got close to Mike, she grabbed on to his shirt. Mike said “Well If you didn’t want to get wet, you should have come inside with us.” Jacob said “Who knew it was going to rain? I did and I didn’t have to wear a long sleeve.” Mike smile weakly at Jacob because that was a bad joke.

Mike said “I did too, but I know some of you didn’t know about the storm. That is why I chose today to go to the school. That way the scenery would be extra scary.” Venn said “Great, do we sit in front of the doorway or is there something else you want us to go.” Mike said “I was thinking more of the gym.”

Jacob said “Alright, that sounds like a great place. Where is it exactly?” Mike said “I think we’ll have to look for it first. Let’s not get separated just yet. We don’t want to scare little old Kendra here.”

Kendra said “Let’s just get this scary thing over with OK?” Mike said “Alright, let’s just find the gym real quick.” The teens soon began exploring the school to search for the gym. Mike led the way because he knows his way around places easily. Once they got to the gym, they saw that some of the wood there was torn up.

Jacob said “OK Mike, where are we going to sit.” Mike said “I was thinking more of the middle, but since the wood here is torn to shreds we will have to pick a spot where it is not so torn up.” He said “OK, now we’ll have to find the place to sit. We can sit right here because what we are standing in is very stable.”

Mike walked around them and heard some creaking. He said “I am not sure about that. It might give away at some point. If you want to though, we can sit here to tell the stories. Don’t say I didn’t warn you if the floor breaks in and you fall though.” After saying that, Mike sat down on the floor and waited for his friends to do the same.

Mike’s friends all sat down and waited for him to begin telling them stories. Mike said “I see that you all are comfortable here. Since we are all here, let’s begin telling stories. Who will go first?” Jacob said “I will, I have been preparing a story for just such an occasion.”

Jacob began by saying “There was once in a haunted school like this where a girl died on her prom date. No one knows who did it or why. They suspected it as a murder.” Mike said “Boring, Jacob you are just telling us a murder story.”

Venn said “Yeah Jacob, we are here to listen to ghost stories, not murder ones.” Jacob said “Do you want me to get to the scary bit of the story.” Mike said “Please do because I hate to get bored with murder stories.” He said “Oh very well, one boy was walking down the hallway until he saw a girl walking down the hallway in the opposite direction of him. The boy slowed down and so did she.”

Mike said “Let me guess, he looks at her and the boy sees that she is a ghost.” Jacob said “Yes, how do you know that?” He said “I have been watching a lot of Japanese horror films and I often see people fall for the same tricks all the time. Either they come to the ghost or the ghosts come to them, it always ends the same.” Venn said “Don’t those characters die in the movies.”

Jacob said “Yes they do, but the actors in the film don’t.” Mike said “We are getting way off topic here. I am sorry if I was rude to you about your story Jacob. Do you have another story to tell us?” He said “Yes I do, this story is about a stone statue that haunted a barnyard field.”

A voice said “This would be good, I hope there isn’t any interruptions this time.” The boys looked around while Kendra grabbed Mike’s arm expecting him to protect her. Venn said “What was that?” He said “I don’t know, but I am sure it was just nothing. Are you going to start the story Jacob?”

Jacob said “Yeah I guess I should start.” Kendra let go of Mike’s arm and He began his story. Jacob said “There once lived a man who lived in a barn. He had a lot of corps that weren’t harvested in years. Since he was too old, he could not do it at all.”

Jacob continued “The old man was cautious about his surroundings. He didn’t like people being on his property. Since he did not like people touching his crops, no one helped him harvest the crops even if they were ready to pick. Like many old people, he had a shotgun and won’t hesitate to use it on anyone.” Suddenly they heard footsteps coming in the hallway.

Mike held his finger up as a sign to silence Jacob. When he stopped talking, the footsteps stopped. They looked out into the hallway they came out of and saw nothing. Mike said “I am sorry about that, but did you hear that?” Jacob said “Yeah I did, do you want me to stop or should I just continue?”

Mike said “No continue, I didn’t mean to stop you.” Jacob said “Next time I’ll just ignore you. Anyways, when the old farmer was sitting on his front porch he noticed a figure of a man standing in his wheat field. He was about to shot him, but then he noticed something strange about it. The old farmer went over to the figure to see that it was a grey statue.

Jacob continued “As soon as the farmer touched it, the statue’s eyes came to life and smiled at him. The old man freaked out and pointed the gun at its chest. The statue quickly grabbed it and smashed it to pieces. The farmer got freaked out even more and turned to run away only to see the statue was behind him. He then turned to his right to see the statue there also.”

Jacob continued on “Then the old farmer realized that he had been surrounded by these creepy smiling statues. Then, the statues jumped on top of him and crushed his body. The old farmer screamed as his bones began breaking. The next day, the neighbors found him dead in his own wheat field.”

Kendra said “I that was such a sad fate for the farmer.” Mike said “It wasn’t all that scary. It was actually kind of interesting.” Jacob said “What do you mean it wasn’t scary at all. If you don’t think it is scary, I want to see you try to make a scary story.”

Mike said “Fine, this time I’ll tell the scary story. One time at a school like this, there was an incident where a student has been killed. The body was found in the ceiling on one of the floors. The case remained unsolved because they cannot find the murderer.” Jacob said “I thought we could not tell murder stories Mike.”

Venn said “Yeah Mike, you said that we are here to tell scary stories, not murder stories.” Mike said “I am getting there, besides it’s not that long until I get to the good part.” Jacob said “I was getting to the good part of my story too until you decided to stop me.” Kendra said “Guys, stop fight. We are supposed to have a good time here.”

Venn said “Yeah you two, we are supposed to have fun. Isn’t that why we came here in the first place?” Mike said “Fine, I’ll let Jacob finish his story that he started after I finish mine. As I was saying, The case was closed and everyone went on with their lives. After school, the janitor was cleaning on the floor where they found the body.”

Mike continued “Then, he began to near banging. At first the janitor did not know where the sound came from. He said ‘Who is there, come out where I can see you.’ There was another bang, but this time he can hear it coming from the ceiling.” Then, there was banging noise constantly on the ceiling.

Kendra grabbed on to Mike’s shoulder again as all of them drew their attention to the ceiling. The noise stopped after a short while as dust descends from the ceiling. Jacob said “What was that, it sounded like something was up there.” Venn said “Yeah man, I have a feeling that someone is watching us right now.” Mike said “You’re right, anyways did any of you notice that the room has gotten dark all of a sudden?”

Jacob and the rest of the teenagers looked around and saw that it is dark. They did not hear any rain because the storm has ceased. Venn said “Oh man, did we stay in the building until night.” Mike said “No I don’t think so. What time did we get here Jacob?”

Jacob said “I think we got here at 1:40.” Kendra said “You think, guys I’m scared. You all know that ghosts mostly appear at night. Come on Mike let’s get out before they find us.” Mike said “Oh come on baby, at least let me finish my story.”

Kendra said “Fine, but there better not be a scare at the end or I’m leaving the group for good.” Mike got concerned about Kendra because she was hard to get into his group of friends to begin with. He said “I promise, there won’t be a scare at the end.” She said “There better not.” Jacob said “Where are you on your story again?”

Mike said “As I was saying, there was banging on the ceiling. The janitor went to the source and saw some dust descending from where the noises took place. Then, the ceiling plate moved out of place and a corpse fell out of it.” As soon as he said that, something fell down next to the teenagers. Scared out of their wits, they turned around and saw what it was.

What they saw was a dead body of a girl. It looks as if she was stabbed in the chest several times before being left in the elements to decay. When Kendra saw this, she freaked out, screamed, and ran out of the gym. Mike said “Kendra, wait up for us. Where are you going Kendra?”

As the two kids where running towards the darkness, Jacob and Venn examined the body. Venn said “Should we call the police Jacob?” He said “I am not sure about that. They would probably get on to us for intruding on private grounds.” After he said that, the corpse sat up and looked at Jacob.

The corpse said “Hi there Jacob, will you tell me a story?” Both teenagers were horrified at the fact that a dead body is talking to them. Before any of them could say anything, they heard Kendra’s scream coming from beyond the gym. Mike screamed her name before screaming in agony. Jacob said “What happened, are they alright?”

The corpse said “They’re both dead and have joined them. You will too wither you like it or not.” Venn said “What are you, zombies?” The corpse chuckled “No, I am one of the ghosts in this school. You will be next to die, but you can slow down the pain by telling us stories.”

Jacob said “Alright, I’ll tell you stories. Just let us go afterwards OK.” The ghost said “let you go, but Jacob we have just begun.” Venn said “I think I’m going to be sick.” After that, he ran out of the gymnasium.

Jacob said “Wait Venn, don’t leave me here alone.” Before he could get up, he was grabbed and pulled down by the corpse. She said “Where do you think you’re going. You haven’t told us a story yet. Please mister, tell us a story.”

Jacob was trying to get the corpse (of the girl) off of him, but her grip was too strong that he could not get her off of him. The corpse kept on saying “Tell me a story. We want to hear a scary story.” After several seconds, Jacob heard Venn screaming for help. He turned towards the entrance of the gymnasium to see some ghostly apparitions floor the room.

Some of the ghosts look like skeletal corpses while others look as they were when they alive. They said “Tell us a story. Tell us a story to please us. Tell stories of terror and horror. Tell us a story to calm us and stay a while.”

As the ghost kept on saying that, more ghosts came from the ground and the ceiling. Soon, the ghost surrounded him. Jacob could not take it anymore and screamed. All of the ghost charged at him and tore him apart. After he had died, all of the ghosts (but one) left the gym. The only ghost left in the gym was the first corpse that fell through the ceiling.

The corpse said “Why didn’t you tell us a story. We just wanted to hear you guys tell ghost stories.” After that, she faded away. The next day, the authorities found the body remains of several teenagers. They were later identified a couple of days later and the school was completely resealed up so that no one could go in there again.
